Initial Set-Up Fee - There isn't an initial set-up fee for up to 5 COBRA plans & 3 enrolled families at contract inception.  FSA plans are not included in the plan count.  Plans and enrolled family units in excess of those included are subject to a small additional fee that will be disclosed in the proposal.

Annual Plan Renewal Fee - None unless there is a plan termination or addition.  If plans are added or terminated at any time after contract inception, there is a change fee that will be disclosed in the proposal.

Special Handling Charges - For rush notices and non-standard shipping.  There is a small additional fee that will be disclosed in the proposal.

2% Allowable Administration Fee and Premium Accounting - CMS is contractually entitled to the 2% administration fee allowed under COBRA.

Services Not Included in this Package:

    • HIPAA Certificates of Creditable Coverage.
    • Carrier direct eligibility notification.
    • Carrier direct remittance of COBRA premiums.
    • Multiple location or division accounting.
    • Pro-rated premium administration.
    • Notice inserts.
    • Open enrollment mailing, form collection and tracking.

Carrier Notification - It is the customer's responsibility to remit COBRA premiums to the carriers and to update eligibility with them following our advice to do so.

Our web-based MyCOBRA service center streamlines communications between the customer, the COBRA enrollee and our office.  It is a standard feature of our service.

  • The customer has an online account where they submit notice data, view reports and download a variety of COBRA resource material.
  • COBRA participants have an online account where they can pay COBRA premium with an e-check.  The account also contains a variety of resource documents.
